Hello,
since there was a discussion on Discord about missing equipment, here an idea:
Why not allow empty slots ?
If I have no melee-weapon, I fight with my fist (damage 0-10 smashing or something the like).
If I wear no armour I am bare-chested (0%/0 against all types of damage)
a fallback is not that difficult to programm:
try damage=weapon[slot_hand].damage catch {dump exeption} damage=basic_damage end try
such behavior can also be used in game to create non-normal fightig conditions (pub-brawl (perhaps as a tutorial), being attacked at the court of a treacherous king (song of nibelungen, in the period of the game there have been numerous assassination-attempts in non combat situations, what can lead to interesting fightings (high level player with basic weapons and no armour has to flee, while enemies try to kill him before)

Hi Majo,
Unfortunately, for financial reasons, we cannot portray entire animations for units with all types of equipment combinations. For every 2-3 units we'd animate without armor and/or without weapons and using fists, we'd spend about as much as a brand new unit.
Brawls are not something we wanted to skip, but our current budget does not support such initiative for now. There are others which are ahead in our schedule before these, such as animating dismounted cavalry units and new skins.
