Currently (2020) travelling is difficult so to make better plans for the future, here are some places you might want to visit to see, what the your favorite tribe has done ...



Since there are still today Basque territories in Spain and France the most simple way to visit Basques is just to go there ... it is a very beuatiful region with a rich culture.

So in this thread only locations related to old history should be mentioned, which might be connected with the people shown in the game.

Gernika

Even if this town today known for other reasons (a professional painter made a picture-postcard because a wannabe postcard-painter changed the skyline drasticaly ...), the oak of Gernika is (or was) the location of the traditional Basque council (which led to the events later ...)

Roncesvalles

The historical base of the events described in the song of Roland.

A Frankish force who originally should fight the moors in Spain rampaged on their way back home the city of Roncevalles; the angry Basque inhabitants ambushed the Frankish reargueard in a nearby vally and cut them down. In reality no whith knights etc. happened, the Franks just got massacered. One of the very few defeats of Karl.

So: even if you consider to mess with Texas, never even think of messing with the Basques
